Job Title :  Java developer.

Duration : 6-12 month contract

Location : Tempe, AZ

Interview: Telephonic and Face to Face.

 

They have to be local/nearby so they can do a F2F interview- Insight at Tempe, AZ.

 

The intricacies of a multi-threaded/concurrent development

•         The best ways to optimize algorithms (big-O)

•         When and why caches should be implemented, and the memory and stale-data impacts of implementing them

•         How to best work within an IoC framework (like Spring)

 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.

 

Essential Functions of Job:

 

Designing and building applications with languages as outlined

Experience with a revision control system (Subversion preferred)

Strong creative problem-solving ability

Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills

Ability and desire to thrive in a fast-paced, client-services environment

Experienced with Agile/Scrum practices

Has participated in group project work sessions making major decisions regarding application design, architecture, and system testing

Candidate should work well in a team environment and be able to give and receive constructive feedback, yet and aggressive self-starter and change agent.  This person will require little supervision and possess leadership characteristics with a strong commitment to his/her career

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

The ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business/ professional journals, technical procedures, or regulations is necessary.  The ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, other employees is a plus. 

 

•         Excellent Core Java 1.6 knowledge

•         XML / XML Schema knowledge

•         Spring Framework

•         Hibernate

•         Web Services (REST)

•         MS SQL Server 2008

•         JBoss Application Server 4 desirable

•         Unix/Linux/Windows environments
