Description of Functional Area
- Defines balanced near-term and
future state (3 year) strategy and delivery roadmap with objective of
leveraging as much from central architecture team, while expediting
delivery to the line of business.

Overview:
- Expert in Desktop Architecture.

Clear presence of knowledge on
hardware and software applications integration and migration of windows7
- Define strategy for Desktop
upgrades on a global focus.
- Expert knowledge in
Virtualization technologies like VMware, Citrix
- Strong architecture skills,
able to develop desktop strategy
- Experienced in project
management of desktop migrations.
- Excessive knowledge in
deployment methodologies
- Plan support, training, and
tools as part of desktop migration strategy
- Possess excellent knowledge on
application and desktop virtualization strategy.
- All work will be preformed
meeting ISO and QMS standards
- Should serve as technical
consultant for Desktop Strategy
- Excellent understanding of
networking principles
Technical
Skills and Experiences:
- Engineering or computer science
educational requirements or has equivalent work experience
- Microsoft Certified Systems
Engineer (MCSE 2000)
- ITIL Certification

Experience working in large
corporate enterprise environment
- Experience working in a remote
based manner
- 5 years of work experience with
Client / Server Intel Platforms
- Experience in testing and
integration of Microsoft Products.
- Excellent understanding and
working knowledge of:
- OS Migrations
-
Deployment technologies
- Virtualization.
- Information security
- Support and Training
methodologies.
- Experience with desktop builds
and imaging
- Experience with integrating
desktop applications
Non-technical Skills and Experiences:
- Keeps people informed through
use of appropriate methods and media
- Shares relevant or useful
information in a timely manner
- Fosters exemplary cooperation
and collaboration within and between teams
- Communicates clearly, concisely
and accurately
- Ability to work with Vendors
and Customers.
- Fluent written and spoken
English
- Organizational Skills
Unique Requirements:
- On call responsibility (ability
to contact occasionally outside of business hours)
- Working hours above/outside of
the norm (after hours as needed, including weekends and holidays), ability
to be contacted after hours 24x7
- Ability to participate on
empowered, virtual teams.
- Ability to work from home (dial
or broadband connection that allows VPN to customer network), laptop
- Cell phone or home phone if
cell phone coverage is too poor from home location
- Adjust schedule to attend
customers meetings as needed
