Well several weeks have gone by on the DG site with some suggestions
filtering down onto it.

One fundamental question still is being gently skated around with no one
asking the obvious question.

The Background issue lies deep in the original WIE 1st edition.#

WHAT ABOUT THAT SOUTHERN RAIL LINE??????

Do we ask for that line out of Rumania to be reinstated as an option???

Problems at the moment...

1.Difficulties for AG South to reach the Rostov line, or hold behind the
Mius, resulting in ahistorical deployments and fronts in the Southern area of
the front.

2.In any historical drive from the Dnepr, the Soviets very much have a
tactical/strategic dead-end in the advance into Rumania, a dead end brought
about
by the requirement to "go around the houses" to establish rail heads into
Bucharest and thence a strategic springboard into the whole southern flank of
the Axis position in the Balkans.

Offensives along this axis generally simply run into the sand of OOS
operatons...

If the map and terrain are being coded, now would be a very good time to
discuss the advisability of having that reinstatement implemented.

#WIE 1st edition had a rail line running into Southern Russia emanating from
Bucharest, allowing the Germans to create a supplied force axis without
relying on lines emanating from Galicia (but which said lines would then link
into the rear net of forward railheads from Rumanian territory as they drove
SW
from the German/Soviet frontier in occupied Poland.
