Ah, you take a disk image (eg using Ghost) of your system disk every so
often do you? Maybe I shoudl think about doing that.
So far I've got most of them important apps back. Data was easy: I had done
a backup only a few minutes before and the documents and other data folders
are untouched anyway.
Only one annoyance was the USB2 ports weren't recognised but eventually the
"Update Driver" button deigned to find drivers on the web.
SP3 seems to be fine.
