Thanks for the reply Chris. Much appreciated.

I don't use my computer for graphics, so I have no real colour issues.

Now, I find your comment about not buying online intriguing. But
doesn't shopping in the highstreet cut down your choice of monitors
plus which isn't it normally cheaper online?

I've taken your comments about screen resolution into advice, and I'm
now looking at maybe getting a 22" screen. The Dell SP2208WFP is my
current favourite. It's a wide screen with a built in webcam.
