One option, of course, is to use a USB or PC-Card Ethernet adapter, and 
use a wireless-to-Ethernet adapter.  Many access points can be 
configured to this function, and you can get dedicated units.  Useful 
gadgets they can be, too.  They normally have a separate power supply, 
which makes them a lot less portable than a PCMCIA card!
