That being said, I have no problem with either base-2^10 or base-10.
It's actually very simple.
Base-10 = kilo, mega, giga, tera, peta,...
base-2^10 = kibi, mebi, gibi, tebi, pebi,...
This is all according to international engineering standards. It's all
very official and smarter people than myself have been using it for over
10 years now, and it all sounds very sensible and very scientifically
