Hi,
Setting up squid as a transparant proxy is very well documented, try google for
details.
But for iptables see
http://www.faqs.org/docs/Linux-mini/TransparentProxy.html#s5

Onderwerp: Squid 3 on Jaunty
Hi,
I am unable to run Squid 3 in transparent mode in Jaunty 9.04
My specs are:
Intel P3 Coppermine 866 Mhz, 512 MB RAM, 40 GB IDE HDD, 2 NICs, CD ROM
Software: Jaunty 9.04 Server, Apache, OpenSSL, Webmin 1.1480, Squid 3,
SARG, Webalizer
eth0 - internet with dhcp
eth1 - static : 192.168.65.xx
I have tried doing this http_port 3128 transparent in squid.conf
If someone can give me the iptables details I would be glad. As of now I
have flushed all the iptable rules and I have no firewall running on this
machine.
I do not intend to run Dansguradian as I am already running Untangle Web
Filter separately on a machine.I have the firewall configured on Untangle
machine.
Also the squid 3 does not get seen in the webmin interface. Any chance of
getting it seen in the webmin interface? It is far simpler to configure
squid through the webmin interface.
Best Regards
