Majordomo or Mailman don't communicate directly with the outside world
at all. They merely receive and pass mail to the MTA, e.g. Postfix. If
you're trying to run a list server on a dynamic IP, good luck. Sure, you
can overcome the dynamic IP issue with dynamic DNS but you can't
overcome the fact that many mail servers will simply not accept mail
originating from dynamic IP addresses, even if they're "business"
accounts. After wasting tremendous amounts of your time, you'll realize
that all roads lead to having this list server hosted by professionals
who know what they're doing. I'm under the impression that you're an
academic of some sort. Doesn't your institution have an IT department,
servers, and a good Internet connection?

You're obviously not reading what many people have been telling you.
This has nothing to do with Evolution and no amount of "adding code to
Evolution" is going to turn Evolution into a list server. Mailman is to
Evolution as chalk is to cheese.

If you have to instruct them, they don't know what they're doing.
