I managed to get the DW1640 working after a lot of hassle. That was on
Hoary and Breezy was imminent. I haven't checked if that problem occurs
with Breezy.
The computer with the DW1640 has an Intel chipset. The module for the
via chipset was being loaded. This is how I got around it:
