I hate to sound like a RTFM respondent, but if you will spend a few
minutes searching this site (use my nick) you will find the answer. i
have several of these and I know I have answered this question here
more than once (and I have solved the problem more than once). I have a
CD here I simply boot to it, run the config to "default" and after
reboot it will work.
You need to configure this early "plug and play" sound card in the
BIOS. There is also now a gnome desktop tool to do this.
