with DMA enabled for the CD-Drive i always get at boot time an error

what can i change here? something in the bootup procedure or is the
configuration in hdparm.conf wrong?
I get the same error message, but on my system DMA is enabled
nevertheless. It's just an output bug, nothing more.
If in doubt you can check the status using *sudo hdparm -d /dev/hdc*
(without spesifying either d1 or d0 you can see the current status of
the drive)
right, i know that check. with the harddisk it is same as you discribe. at
bootup the disk gets DMA enabled even without an entry in hdparm.conf.
but, i have this problem with the CD-(ROM)-Drive.
