Well I suppose by modern standards it's next to nothing, but for a
game with pong-era graphics, it's surprisingly CPU heavy (15% or 20%
of my 1GHz Athlon? It might be my crappy 2D graphics drivers pushing
the CPU usage up, too.)

CA = cellular automata
