To use a common analogy, the world is becoming like a body, different
parts specializing on performing different functions. And like a body,
it will take time to evolve into something stable with positive
symbioses. As to stimuli, we are already building "tools" to handle the
stimuli for us, processing it and summarizing it into a form we can
consume. The more important question, as the other post mentioned, is
whether our civilizations evolves fast enough to avoid killing the
"body". :)
