Dziwnow kara Kolobrzeg made musen ryokou o shimashita. Sore wa amariI wonder what would happen to the names of these cities if they were to be produced within Japanese phonological borders.Let's see... Jibunubu and Korobujegu, right? Oh, maybe I didn't allow for final obstruent devoicing. Suggestions? My guess is ジブヌフ JIBUNUFU or ジヴヌフ JIVUNUFU if you recognize vu,and コウォブジェグ KOWOBUJEGU (or maybe one can spell it コヲブジェグ) — definitely not ロ/RO for Polish ł. -- Azarien |
