A rising temperature doesn't equel an extreme event. Some will be hit,
others will profit. Looking at the Quartenary temperature curve, my first
consern is a new freezing glaciation. I don't doubt your figures about the
reduced extend of the marine ice-sheet, but also that comming years of the
same trend would strengthen a case for a warmer climate. Personally I'm not
any consumer worth talking about, I live fairly green as a necessity, not by
political conviction. Billions spent on environmental problems can do good
in a lot of places.

I overheard a programme on Chinese environmental problems - they may not
grow to become gross polluters becourse they already see a dwindling GNP due
to necessary environmental remediations. And the US has the capasity to move
whenever they choose to ... or what?

Aidan! How much trouble/expence is it to reinject CO2 to stove it away for
good?
