Why not ride the stock through the NYSE to the DAX, or FTSE, to the Hong

The Tokyo exchange is so heavily tech and petrolium laden that you might not
get the results you want if AMD, Intel, Micron, Marvell, Toshiba, Samsung
and or Apple announce anything.... You might want to look at the South
African exchange for your trades.

First, why not play Newcrest on the Heng Seng index if you feel the need to
trade overnight.
Second, JP, you should look at the quarterly reports and the company
financials, or even download a confrence call. Bottom line is, I would
rather own BHP. ( if I had to own mining shares)... But Newcrest still
remains a takeover target.
Remember BHP JP? They signed my cheque. ( then again, so did Newmont) I
posted a picture of me at the Melbourne offices remember? ( Also a picture
at Newmont/Newcrest)....
BHP is the mineral supermarket to the world.
Newcrest is far more cyclical in nature.... But mismanaged enough that
they're ripe for a takeover.
People are starting to realize that Au is fine and dandy, but the REAL money
is to be made in other minerals and metals. Companies with exposures to
Titanium, Aluminum, Lithium, your old friend COPPER, Lead, Zinc, etc, etc,
etc, are where people want to be.
