Note also that the term EMF means "electromotive force". It is a 
necessary feature of generation of an EMF that the current that can be
produced produces a magnetic field the interacting with the conductor 
for the current produces an EMF that opposes the EMF that generates the 
current in the conductor. Hence one get no free lunch since energy is 
required to drive the system.
