In the 1970's...early to mid, I was the only amateur astronomer in 2
High Schools, one in Louisiana and the other outside of Akron, Ohio.
Yes, Stellafane always has ATM's but I think most amateurs are not so
inclined simply because they can't do it, I mean, it must be nice to be
able to but if you can't you don't worry about it.
We (BMAA,Inc.) have at least one person, our current President, Bernie
Kosher, who is good with this stuff and optics and I know there is
still a class or classes through the other local group DVAA near
Philadelphia.
