Which means that people make a free choice about chewing gum, but are
tightly constrained when it comes to an incompetently managed "manned
space program" funded exclusively by expropriated wealth^H^H^H, excuse
me, "taxes".

Or is Mr. Wormley suggesting that it is time for NASA to break its
fanatically tight suckling from the public teat and begin to act like
these aforementioned "chewing gum" people? If _they_ can make a profit
on the free market, why can't NASA? Just what value has the "manned
space program" actually obtained, anyways?

I doubt it though, as it sounds more like Wormley just wants it both
ways: to criticize and to cheerlead at the same time. A weird
position...
