As Anthony says, AP scopes are wonderful once you get them. It just takes a
while to get them.
I first caught the bug when I was living in Florida and I looked through
a friend's Traveller. I was hooked immediately and the long process
started a little after that ....
Alas, there is only one Roland Christen, and he can only work so fast.
This is where the bottleneck in the whole process lies ....
So, get on the list for an AP telescope. In the meantime, buy a Tak or TEC
or TMB or . . . .
In fact I would suggest that someone buy a resale AP from Astromart so
as to lock in the future annual price increases in the AP refractors
where resale units also rise in unison. It is a nice way to buffer the
inevitable price increases and this is where I blew it where I simply
waited for notification and sat back watching the price increase from
$4850 (1999) to $7950 when notified in Nov/2004.
In fact I am tempted to do the same right now for the other AP
refractors as well as the AP1200GTO I am waiting for.

As for the scope itself, there is very little I can say that would do
justice to it!!!
