Re: Earthly Benefits of the Space Program?

All the benefits from satellites have been mentioned before in this
thread, and it's beyond debate that they've made the world better and
safer.  However, while I was young in '57 when they first started
launching them, I can remember well some people arguing that they are a
waste of money, and that we should solve our problems here on earth
before venturing into space.  Thank God those with vision won out.
