The optics are fine, I used the old foucer and by dump luck got it set so
the EP is all the way down in it's holder and the sharp image is about mid
range, but now it's harder to use my 24mm EP as it seems to give a narror
image, I might try using it up the holder some. I mostly use it for full
moon anyway.
I got one spray can of paint at the local hardware store and have been
painting the OTA with it, and it's looking a lot better, I think I'll need
one more of the same color paint and a clear can too. Then I'll need to
repaint the rocker box.
BTW, I know what I want to use as feet on the rockerbox, while dumpter
diving for soda/beer cans from the saturday night party, I found a broken
glass jar that had a wooden stopped top, I took the top and have looked at
the rockerbox and it and yes the idea would be fine, so I'll have to pay the
mass market goods places to see if I can find a solid wood block, 5 inch
wide ( round in shape ) and 1 1/2 inch high, 3 of these would make the best
feet.
So things are going ok, now if only this blasted WINDS would stop! Of the 7
years here, this has been the worst for winds, most years by this time the
hot/dry east winds ( very light mostly ) have pushed the westen winds away,
but this year it's been another story. Right now they are gusting up between
35 to 45mph.
