Finally. I have been in contact with the Mary Rose conservator. The only other navigational device found in the Mary Rose than the slate protractor is an object identified as a tide calculator. This is made of wood and has the 32 compass points carved into it. There is nothing in their collection that resembles a 'sun compass' |
