I don't know if the skin peeling was on the palms and soles, I thought
it was widespread upper trunk. His palms and soles were nearly always
covered  (with neoprene?) I think.

Do you think Hardy meant every day 12 hours? I figure about 4 hours
midday everyday, sometimes much more.

nearly a week in a tank of salt water eating nothing but Gatorade.
