Oh, of course.
  Marvin Harris, in _Good to Eat_, speaks of rabbit poisoning, from
eating strictly a diet of lean meat.   I suppose that has something to
do with too much uric acid, or whatever, when the only source of
calories is protein, with no fat or carbohydrates.
