Leaving bottled water at room temperature is one thing. Microbes will grow 
in any any container not absolutely sterile.

Setting it on a parking lot on a hot summer day is another. A few hours of 
that tends to kill most of the stuff that can kill you. Cancer risks might 
go up. I don't know.
