samba 3.0.14a on Fedora 3 i386_64

I'm hoping someone on this list can help me out with this problem.
I'm trying to compile Samba 3.0.14a, and I get:

Compiling dynconfig.c
/tmp/ccbzUMdg.s: Assembler message:
/tmp/ccbzUMdg.s:44: Error: suffix or operands invalid for 'mov'
/tmp/ccbzUMdg.s:97: Error: suffix or operands invalid for 'mov'
make: *** [dynconfig]: Error 1

Its a fresh Fedora 3 install that i'm running.

Any ideas would be helpful.
