Are you sure that this is a Quanta problem? Have your for instance tried
opening the files in Kate which uses the same spell checker and see what it
does there?
With components that belong to KDE rather than to Quanta specifically, even
though they may be used by Quanta (taking the last example of tidy. Tidy is
not a part of Quanta, though Quanta and indeed many other editors make use of
it.) it's a good idea and easy to test them away from Quanta and see if the
problem lies with Quanta or with the separate application.
Do you have an up to date Quanta this time?
I know that Fedora is up to version 3 already.
Presumably they updated the Quanta included, though I don't know that for sure
or if they picked up a stable one this time.
