I've tested the "File -> Open..." menu command in Qt Designer and Qt
Linguist and in both cases the result was absolutely correct. To check if
Windows XP style is supported by your Qt version, you may look the "Form
-> Preview In" menu item in Qt Designer or value returned by the
QStyleFactory::keys() function.
