I was very disappointed to find this was not a standard feature. Many
applications have an extra popup menu (combo-box or whatever) to select
"how" to open a file. (Look at Word and Excel, for example.) It is a very
useful--to the point of being necessary--feature that Qt needs to add.
I was also very surprised that I cannot set the default name to use in a
save file dialog. I need to use the native dialogs (not Qt's imitations) on
Windows and Mac because that is what the users expect to see.
