VOTRE ENVIRONNEMENT DE TRAVAIL: Situe a moins d'une demi-heure de
Montreal, le centre Sainte-Anne de l'hopital Sainte-Anne vise a se
positionner comme chef de file international dans l'avancement des
soins et du traitement des militaires aux prises avec des troubles de
sante mentale. Le Centre offre une vaste gamme de services et de
programmes visant a favoriser la continuite des soins et la transition
harmonieuse entre la vie militaire et la vie civile.

CE QUI VOUS ATTEND: Services conseils experts en toxicomanie et
traitement de problemes de co-morbidite (i.e.: etat de stress
post-traumatique (ESPT), abus d?alcool, drogues et jeu compulsif),
services de developpement, mise en oeuvre et evaluation d?approches,
programmes, normes et methodes cliniques pour le personnel
professionnel du ministere et des cliniques ou organismes externes
publics et prives impliques dans les programmes de sante mentale ainsi
que des services plus specialises pour des traumatismes vecus par la
clientele d?Anciens Combattants Canada dans le cadre d?operations
militaires.

SCOLARITE REQUISE: Baccalaureat d?une universite reconnue dans un
domaine lie a la comprehension et l?evaluation du comportement humain
comme sociologie, psychologie, travail social, criminologie, sciences
infirmieres.
La preference pourrait etre donnee aux candidats possedant une
maitrise ou un doctorat dans un des domaines relies.

EXPERIENCE REQUISE:
 - Experience significative dans les traitements individuels et de
   groupe en cas d?abus d?alcool ou d?autres drogues et de
   dependances, ainsi que de cas de jeu grave ou pathologique
 - Experience de la mise en oeuvre et de la prestation de programmes
   de toxicomanie incluant la redaction de politiques et procedures.
 - Experience de l?analyse des tendances et des progres en matiere
   d?evaluation de programme en toxicomanie serait un atout.
 - Experience de la gestion de projets.

AUTRES CRITERES DE SELECTION / COMMENTAIRES:
 - Membre en regle de la federation canadienne d?agrement des
   conseillers en toxicomanie et ou membre d?une association
   professionnelle.
 - Les candidat(e)s doivent etre dispose(e)s a voyager a l?occasion.

This is a permanent position.

The following government organization is responsible for this
competitive process: Department of Veterans Affairs

SALARY: The annual salary ranges from $63, 905 to $80,215.

WHO CAN APPLY: The following position will be filled pursuant to an

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Located less than half an hour from Montreal, St.
Anne's Center of St. Anne's Hospital, is positioning itself to set
it's sights at being an international Leader in the advancement and
treatment of military personnel who have attained mental disorders.
The Center offers a wide variety of services and programs directed to
furthering the continually of care and a favourable transition between
military and civilian life.

CHALLENGE: Provide addiction consultation services and treatment of
comorbidity problems (ie. Post-traumatic stress syndrome (STSS),
alcohol and drug abuse and compulsive gambling), development services,
implementation and evaluation of approaches, programs, clinical
standards and methods for professionals working in the Department,
clinics and external public and private agencies involved in mental
health programs as well as more specialized services for Veterans
Affairs Canada clients having suffered trauma within the framework of
military operations.

EDUCATION: Bachelor?s degree from a recognized university in a field
related to understanding and evaluating human behaviour such as
sociology, psychology, social work, criminology, nursing science.
Preference could be given to candidates who have a Master?s degree or
a Doctorate in one of the above fields.

EXPERIENCE:
 - Significant experience treating individuals and groups for alcohol
   abuse, drug abuse and other addictions as well as serious or
   pathological gambling problems.
 - Experience implementing and delivering drug addiction programs
   including writing policies and procedures.
 - Experience analysing trends and advances made in evaluating
   substance abuse programs would be an asset.
 - Experience managing projects.

 - "Member in good standing of the Canadien Addiction Counsellors
   Certification Federation or member of a professional association."
 - "The candidates must be willing to travel occasionally.
