Description:
Orion Tradesoft is looking for 1 or 2 lead Perl developers to join it's
team in Dubai. Candidates can expect job security with a company that is
part of an established financial institution with many subsidiaries.
Candidates will be working on maintaining and developing our web trading
application. Our application allows our clients to do advanced real-time
trading using multiple financial securities. The application has multiple
components for statement generation and technical analysis. Also, at the
same time, we are developing new solutions.
Includes resident visa sponsorship, private medical insurance, 30 days paid
vacation, round-trip ticket to home country and productivity bonus.
Required skills:
- Proven Perl Development experience from scratch (not just Perl scripting)
to include strong experience with optimization, development, programming,
coding, debugging, troubleshooting, and problem solving.
- mod_perl and CGI programming.
- Have an understanding of code release procedures, CVS or SVN and unit
testing.
- 2-5 years programming experience with an emphasis on web-based
applications.
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux environment (Debian) and SQL (PostgreSQL).
- SOAP, XML-RPC.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to relocate to the Middle East region.
Desired skills:
- Javascript, XML, XHTML, CSS.
