Description:
Seeking to fill multiple Perl developer positions:
Senior, non-managerial with 3+ years experience
You will be directly involved in the design, development, roll-out and
support of a web based, database driven application, that handles real time
news, research, creation and publishing. Ongoing responsibilities include
end-user requirements gathering, database design, API design and
development, working within a small development team as well as direct end
user support.
Typical tasks include:
-Application design (authoring, publishing and distribution, workflow, user
and workgroup administration, CRM system)
-Database development, optimization and replication
-Web development (PERL, CGI, DBI, Apache, XML, DHTML, Javascript)
-Implement applications in support of business initiatives, and ticket tool
systems
-Evaluate and implement, test and troubleshoot products for programmers and
QA
-Develop new database reorganization procedures to reduce data access time
Required skills:
Languages: Perl
UI/Frontend: HTML, Javascript, AJAX
Database: MySQL (with Rose::DB)
Environment: Linux/Apache
Desired skills:
Familiarity with other scripting languages (Python,PHP), relational DBs,
and database abstraction layers will be considered.
