Job Description: Client, a retail store with soon to be 22 locations across
the Midwest, is searching for a mid level to senior level system admin.
This is currently 1 individual but they want to add 2 more. This group
handles the Network, Data, Telecom, and Server Support for an enterprise of
2,500 users. The overall Corporate IT Department consists of 40 individuals
so the environment runs lean so personality is very important and workload
is pretty heavy. Candidates MUST have a strong background in UNIX
(specifically HP-UX but Solaris is fine) and Linux Servers. They are moving
towards more of a Microsoft Environment so a background using Active
Directory 2003, Exchange 2003, and Windows 2003. The Active Directory
Domain in joint into the UNIX environment working with Windows IIS Servers,
Windows 2000 Servers, and Windows 20003 Servers in a large WAN, LAN or SAN
is very important. This candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of UNIX
experience. 1 -2 years of Microsoft environments and Perl Development. No
degree requirements and no certifications are required either. Candidate
must be energetic and willing to wear multiple hats. They also require
on-call work 1 time every 3 weeks. Candidate may have to support desktop
issues if the helpdesk is out or cannot handle it either.

Must Haves: 3+ years of UNIX and Linux. Unix HP is preferred but Solaris is
fine as well. 1-2 years of Microsoft ** AD, Exchange, Windows Servers. 3-5
years of Microsoft Windows Servers 2003 in a large WAN, LAN, and SAN. Group
Policy, Active Directory, Exchange, Outlook, Clustering, etc.. Requirements
in order: 1. UNIX, HP-UX, Linux system admin. 2. Microsoft Exchange 2003,
Active Directory 2003, Windows 2003 Servers, Group Policy. 3. IIS Servers,
SQL Servers, Perl Development, and clustering. Additional Pluses: Cisco
Routers, Switches, etc. Certifications that are bonuses: MCSE, MCP, A+,
CISSP, Security Analyst.
