optimisation and marketing technology services to customers around the
world, including Sony Europe, Reebok UK and Crucial Memory to name a few.
Due to continued growth and world-wide demand, YourAmigo is significantly
expanding its Adelaide operations, which is the global headquarters for
design, development, implementation and deployment of its technologies.
About The Role: Your role as an Adelaide-based Deployment Engineer will
involve:
* Setting up automatic crawling of customer sites
* Mining data from product pages
* Performing keyword research and analysis
* Analysing and optimising web page content
* Creating templates using HTML and Perl (Catalyst & Template Toolkit)
* Liaising with customer technical teams
* Providing technical support to overseas account managers
* Monitoring and improving the performance of assigned sites
* Contribute to the Perl based application infrastructure
Required skills:
You will:
* know some Perl and want to learn more
* have a sense of humour, a common sense approach and a focus on
producing business results
* have a good understanding of web technologies and search engines
* have a working knowledge of HTML, Javascript and the HTTP protocol
* have basic SQL experience
* have experience working in a Linux development/server environment
Desired skills:
You will know or you will learn:
* Catalyst
* DBI
* Apache configuration
* Basic Linux Systems Administration
* AJAX/DHTML
