Senior Engineer - Ad Server
Opportunity:
We are looking for an extremely capable individual who has a strong
background in back-end systems development and has applied their knowledge
and experience in ad serving and targeting technology. You will be working
on a team that is combining real-time search and data aggregation
techniques that are used by millions of people worldwide. This is a unique
opportunity for someone who would love to contribute to the development of
new and innovative ad products.
Responsibilities:
? Work closely with the Product and Development teams to define and
prioritize product features and enhancements.
? Assess the feasibility, effort, costs, and timelines for
development as appropriate.
? Analyze, design, develop, test, troubleshoot and document complex
data systems that may involve text analysis, content analysis, link/graph
analysis to generate meta-data useful to the targeting engine
? Create technical specifications and drive issues to resolution
incorporating current standards and best practices.
? Work closely with the Operations Team in the definition of standard
run book policies, monitoring, and management of the systems you develop.
? Colloborate in the design of the operating tools to ensure high
availability, accuracy, and reliability of the systems
Requirements:
? 5+ years of experience in software or algorithm design, preferably
in the areas of ad serving and targeting or distributed systems
? 3+ years coding in C/C++ and/or Java
? Demonstrated experience in a clustered server environment
? Strong software architecture background
? Experience with the development of a search engine, text analysis,
or related fields
? Theoretical and practical background in ad serving and targeting
technology
? Exceptional software design and programming skills
? Strong foundation in distributed system architecture and
development
? Experience with content analysis
? Experience with: Linux, Java, REST, XML, Linux, RSS aggregation,
BDB, MySQL
? Direct experience with large-scale ad serving and targeting systems
is desirable
? BS in Computer Science or equivalent; an MS or Ph.D. is a plus.
