Description:
Develop new applications, and maintain existing programs that serve the
needs of thousands of students, faculty and administrators in the Faculty
of Arts and Sciences. Work with a team with other programmers, database
specialists, support and quality assurance personnel on projects that cover
a wide variety of subject areas and technologies. Participate in business
analysis, design, and implementation. Ensure compliance with University and
industry standards for security, privacy and accessibility. Work primarily
with web-based, database-driven applications utilizing technologies
including Perl, Java, and Oracle PL/SQL.
Required skills:
BA with 3+ years professional experience developing data driven web
applications. Strong knowledge of web technologies and standards. Expert
knowledge of Perl, Java or a similar language. Experience with formal
design and development processes. Strong communication skills.
