Looks ok.  After getting the article I'm replying to, I ran mbs2mbx.  Looking 
at both
/home/dave/.opera/mail/store/account3/2009/02/09/20481.mbs and
o7recvnews_news.opera.com.mbx in my export directory, using kate and setting
Tools/Encoding to Western European (ISO 8859-15), they both show the accents ok.
