Changes are that your program reside under: \Program Files\Opera And your user configuration/data reside under: \Documents and Settings\<username_here>\Application Data\Opera That was thru with Opera 9.23. Now with Opera 9.51 user configuration/data reside both under: \Documents and Settings\<username_here>\Application Data\Opera and \Documents and Settings\<username_here>\Local Settings\Application Data\Opera File copying over their right specific location may be just fine. But when time comes to migration. What I do is to start a brand new initialization. Then I import relevant old data through Opera's menu: File > Import for bookmarks + mails(generic mailbox) + contacts And every things is well initialize under the new version setups.
