Trouble showing adresses in the "to" field using 1024 x 798.

Stange way of showing new adresses.
When I start typing an adress, and the letter is in my list of contacts,  
usually I see a long list to chose from. BUT using 9,50-9,52 the window is  
far too wide.
Narrowing the search (typing more letteres), I do not get the usual  
scrollbar. When I use arrow up og down - I get the right answer, but not  
the window showing a list to chose from.

It started 9,50. A bit annoying. I use 1024 x 798. A higher screen  
solution does not show the the problem

I use an older 19 inch monitor.

How does I solve this problem?
