Thanks Remco.  Does the fact that the Check/Send button shows Stop mean that
there is an IMAP task running? The other annoying thing is that thereafter
the Check/Send button is effectively out of action.  I can't stop, check or
send messages using this button by directly clicking on it (only the
dropdown menu commands work).
