What I'd like is for my mail to be presented either in the appropriate
filters or in an "unfiltered" view. By the latter I mean those
messages that are not currently matched and so are candidates for a
new filter rule.
There are a couple of things that are getting in the way of this.
1) Mark messages as filtered for mailing lists
I've been setting my manually created filters to Mark Messages As
Filtered so that they do not show in Received by default. Can I do
the same for messages received from mailing lists that Opera is
automatically recognizing?
2) Highlighting of nested filters
A filter is shown in bold if there are unread messages in it. If the
unread message is in C in the hierarchy Filters -> A -> B -> C then
Filters and C are shown in bold but not A or B. Given the number of
filters that I have, it involves guesswork to navigate through the
intermediate levels.
3) Next unread across views
Is there a key or action to go to the next unread message, regardless
of which view it is in? The closest I have got to this is to use the
Show Filtered button in Received.
Opera 8.51 on XP SP2.
