I've gone into Preferences, Advanced, Programs, and set pdf files to open with Adobe Reader in its present location. (Since I've moved Adobe Reader into a new folder in Applications it doesn't work. When I put it back to its original location it does work.) Shouldn't I be able to set it to open anything no matter where its location? Or is that not the right way of setting programs to open? Other parameters there are: mailto telnet tn3270 Bittorent Regarding help: wouldn't it be smarter to eliminate all Windows and Linux info in Help? If I'm in Windows I don't need to see Linux and Mac. If I'm in Mac I don't need to see the others. It asks for a platform here: http://www.opera.com/support/search/index.dml?name=default+programs&maxhi ts=0&platform=macx Seems kind of redundant. It would also streamline the Help section immensely and reduce a lot of confusion on the part of the reader. Searching for PDF in Keywords under Platform Mac OS X yields nothing. "Default program" also yields nothing. I looked in Preferences in Adobe Reader and there doesn't seem to be anything to set it as the default PDF reader. |
