Just an idiomatic note: in modern jargon, "the shit" is a good thing. As in,
"that weed we
smoked was the shit!"
So I think you might be confusing him when you say his post is the greatest
shit you ever read.
If you use dumbest, stupidest, or funniest, then shit takes on its normal
meaning.
