Although "author" is not a really good methaphor for many web pages
today. There's too much out there which isn't similar to a printed
document written by somebody. I can see how "Joe's home page" has a
real human author, but a web forum or something doesn't really have
one.

(This is, of course, not something which annoys me daily. It's just
something which is interesting to discuss.)
