usage : mail address completion

Mail address completion used to work in Opera compose, but 9.5* does not.
What can I do to type a few letters and then have a short list of matches  
from
my known email addresses ?
If I hit arrow down, I get a complete addressbook list that is tedious to  
go through.

PS: I enjoy the smooth rendering and fast response of 9.51 for Linux.
