If the notification refers to a stable update, I am glad to be
notified.
But I subscribe to the "opera linux mailing list" and usually wait to
hear the experiences of others before I update. To date, I have not noted
many list-comments on Opera 8.51.

"PDF reading problems" are a non-issue here. I am online about 25
min/day and do all my reading offline.
While there are serious (hardware?) problems with my computer at the
moment, I do not believe that Opera is a contributor.
