Hello,
I was choosing a new wallpaper for my desktop on Deviant Art website.
I'd like to test the appearance of this funny image:
http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/26283387/
so I've used the "Set as wallpaper" function that appears in Opera
context menu when I right click on the image.
Since my screen is 1024x768 and that image is larger, it has been
automatically resized to fit into my screen size.
Well, the resized image set by Opera has a lower quality than any
other image set as wallpaper by other browsers (Seamonkey, Firefox,
IE).
Please, see this detail of the image quoted above:
In other browsers: http://www.letturefantastiche.com/romanzi/other_browser.png
In Opera: http://www.letturefantastiche.com/romanzi/opera.png
The lower quality of straight lines and whole picture is rather
evident to my eyes.
Is it a known issue and is there any way to avoid it other than
manually resizing wallpepers, thing that would nullify the utility of
this feature?
TIA for any answer,
Gianluca
