Note BTW that 'name' is not a valid attribute for the DIV element,
you should use the class attribute.
Anyway, the example will work in Kestrel, the next big Opera release.
Not a valid attribute... will work in Kestrel... should we understand
what?
That we aim to please. Most webdevelopers aren't as savvy and interested
in Opera-compatability as SD, alas. So if it works in IE and Firefox, it
better has to work in Opera as well... So Kestrel will see lots of
little and not-so-little improvements to make us more compatible.
Whether it is abotu fixing bugs, chosing a more compatible
interpretation, or plain bug-handling emulation of 'the others'.
We do like to get these anomalies properly documented though, which is
why Opera is very interested in the HTML 5 development of a 'fixed' HTML
spec.
It's plain IE like behavior.
But this discussion is pointless anyway. Opera already supports mosts of
the bugs introduced by IE and Fx. One example is MSDN crap which
shouldn't work *at all* if Opera stood up for standards only.
Another lost battle for OS with the cost of Opera having no market share.
